Noise cancelling headphones have often been recommended to those that travel on airplanes and daily commuters on buses and subways. But there is actually another use for these headphones. They can possibly save your hearing by using them instead of your regular headphones and earbuds. The reason why is because whenever you are exposed to loud sounds or repeatedly listen to music at high volumes your hearing is very likely to reduce. So let’s find out how these headphones can prevent this from happening.
What exactly is noise cancellation is in regard to headphones? The basics are that these headphones work by blocking out external noises so you are able to hear your music in great detail without having to crank up the volume. You are able to listen at lower volumes even in loud noise filled environments. Long term use of these headphones can save your hearing. As I said at the beginning they are often recommended for daily commutes on buses, subways, and long trips on an airplane.
