Can you please tell me what those “little rubber stickies” are called? I have a similar set up to yours, but I cannot find the stickies you were referring to. Thx.

i dont like how warm the vocals are when you talk into the microphone, i dont know if its made for rapping, but i have to change the EQ alot to get it to sound professional, but over all the best mic, ive ever had!.. well besides the Shure KSM313

@Spritizzle Personally i havent used an MXL 990 but all i hear is good things, and from using the AT2020 the sound does get a bit muddy, so yah i would go with the 990

This is a really stupid question but I found a great deal on this microphone and I’ve been dying to record myself with guitar and vocals without all that white noise! Is this worth it? A friend of mine let me borrow a regular (digital?) microphone and I swear I had to put it up to the guitar TOUCHING it so it could hear it and I turned the microphone up in the settings and everything. How bad is the white noise and ugh I’m very new at this but I want this microphone lol.

DO NOT BUY THIS MIC. As a recording artist i find the vocals come out to muddy. i’ve been using it for 3 years now, and i still regret buying it so yah if your going to get some thing around this price range. get a MXL

I have two probably really dumb questions-
    1) Will Audacity work as a recording program for this microphone?
    2) Will this work for guitar/bass?

usb condenser mic?? wow.. so does it require phantom power ? need to plug it through a mixer or audio interface? Or just plug it straight to a pc since it is a usb condenser mic without the need of phantom power? if that is so then thats awesome!!

it reduces static. thats what a pop filter does. it also fixes pops, but it reduces static mostly.
