I’ve got Philips on ear headphones right now, but they’re kinda bulky and I can’t wear sunglasses with them on coz they’ve an ear clip. If there are some other on ear headphones that maybe have a much smaller, slimmer ear hook, that’s fine. I don’t mind over head ones, but making sure the bit that goes of the head is as small as can be. I’m using public transport a lot, so noise reduction/cancelling/isolation is a must. And the headphones must be on ear, not in or around.

if you change your mind, there are in-ear earphones that sound much like headphones on the market to date. in fact, they have noise canceling, sound isolation, noise reduction, high fidelity true sound, and rumbling bass. If you commute allot on public transportation then you might want to look into B In-Ear Earphones which are a favorite of mine or the Diamond Pure Bass and High Energy Earphones. Both are high quality earphones that normally cost well over $100.00 bucks on the internet and in retail stores. In fact the specification on these earphones would suggest the retail price should be at least $399.00 per pair, but don’t tell gadgetronx that… haha. any ways hope this helps.
I would agree with the above poster. You’ll get far more bang for your buck with smaller, in-ear earphones. They block out far more sound, and are far more mobile, allowing you to exercise with them or carry them in your pocket. But, for the love of god, DO NOT buy the bose in-ear earphones. They will not stay in your ears at all, and the sound quality is sub-par. I really don’t know what your budget is, so….
100$-Westone UM1-Highly comfortable, blocks out a ton of noise, great sound
175$- Ultimate Ears Super. fi 5 pro. Not quite as comfortable, but excellent sound.
150$- Ultimate Ears super. fi 5 extended base. Mind blowing base, if that’s what you’re into.
There’s some higher end ones, the cream of the crop is by far the westone um3′s. So, if you got some extra cash to spend…
Anyway, you can check all of these out, and many more, at http://www.earphonesolutions.com
For over ear over head ones I would recommend either the sennheiser px-200 or px-250.
